The Lobby | a WAJOW shortfilm A body is cleaned up, people grief and confront. the story is about a character that finds himself in the titular Lobby, an abstract absurd place to process, confront, and review. the short then delves into his psychology to prod and poke at his insecurities and character flaws. near the end, going in for his "worst" offense. the ending where he escapes is left open, as it is up to the audience if he finds another path, is doomed to wander the void, or just ceases to exist entirely. Dat is het centrale thema van HACK. 40 jongeren werken vijf maanden lang aan een theatervoorstelling, memes en films. Ze hacken sociale media, de kunsten, de angst, de liefde en het leven. De jonge makers krijgen creatieve wapens om een antwoord te formuleren op vragen zoals: Wat is het probleem met Instagram en waarom doet iedereen zich beter voor dan hij is? Wat is de impact van grote bedrijven als Facebook en Google op de maatschappij? Welke rol speelt een algoritme bij het maken van een keuze? Wat doen al die camera’s in de openbare ruimte en zorgen die voor meer veiligheid? Wat betekent veiligheid, digitale verbondenheid, een digitaal alter ego? Vervangen games het pleintje als sociale hang out? Posten jongeren in Gent andere dingen op Instagram dan in Leuven of Antwerpen? Heel veel vragen. HACK gaat op zoek naar antwoorden.
